Hammond Architectural successfully delivered a 125-unit scheme on the former Caerphilly Council’s Pontllanfraith House offices site that has been granted outline planning permission.

HAL developed a layout that responds to the project brief and vision to create a vibrant, welcoming and connected garden community built in the ‘Arts & Craft’ style.

The scheme incorporates a balanced mix of high-quality housing options, including a third social rented and a third shared ownership homes, will promote equality, choice and diversity.

Two naturalistic spaces and a network of green streets will be created incorporating SuDS, landscape and play features designed to capture the imagination of both the young and young at heart.

The Grade II listed war memorial will be retained and celebrated, located on a tree-lined street and overlooked by bespoke Alms-house style cottages.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, HAL provided a prompt service, delivering outputs on time and within the agreed budget. HAL’s high quality, placemaking led approach is captured in the DAS that accompanies the application and echoed in the accompanying testimonial.
