Future Neighbourhood Growth

Dôl y Ddraig | Merthyr

Client: Davies Homes

Dôl y Ddraig (Dragon Park) is a new 200-home neighbourhood in Abercanaid, Merthyr Tydfil, delivered for Davies Homes. The scheme is shaped by a placemaking-led masterplanning approach, establishing clear character areas, a coherent street hierarchy and a new contemporary house-type range responding to topography and setting.

Riverside edge treatments, green corridors and integrated landscape and drainage strategies structure the layout and support long-term place quality. Our role included delivering the full planning application and securing consent for the homes, access, landscape, drainage and engineering works. Phase 1 is now under construction, with initial occupations underway as the development progresses in line with the approved masterplan.

Parc Llangewydd | Bridgend

Client: Llanmoor Homes

Parc Llangewydd is an 850-home residential scheme promoted through the Bridgend Local Development Plan 2018–2033 review process by Hammond Architectural Ltd on behalf of Llanmoor Homes. This work supported the 36-hectare site’s endorsement by Bridgend County Borough Council as a suitable, deliverable and viable strategic allocation to meet long-term housing needs.

Building on this foundation, a hybrid planning application has been submitted, comprising outline proposals for the full masterplan and detailed designs for the first 377 homes. The emerging scheme is guided by strong placemaking and landscape principles to create a connected and sustainable new neighbourhood.
