Pentref Rhostir forms the first phase of a major strategic development in Llangyfelach, delivering 471 new homes with Reserved Matters approval secured in 2022. The scheme is led by a strong Green Infrastructure approach, resulting in a connected network of open spaces, green corridors and ecological buffers that protect biodiversity and enhance the character of the site. The layout prioritises sustainable movement, offering excellent walking and cycling routes and strong active-travel connections throughout the neighbourhood. The design reflects the placemaking principles of PPW10 and supports the Well-being of Future Generations Act, creating a healthy, attractive and resilient new community. A refined house type range, improved materials palette and enhanced architectural detailing help establish a distinctive and high-quality residential environment.

Hoover Strategic Regeneration Site | Merthyr Tydfil

The Hoover Strategic Regeneration Site is a major mixed-use redevelopment transforming a former industrial landmark into a sustainable new neighbourhood. Allocated within the LDP, it represents one of the County Borough’s most significant regeneration opportunities, delivering over 400 homes, employment space, local services, and a strategic Metro Park & Ride to support regional connectivity.

The proposals are guided by a comprehensive masterplan that integrates green infrastructure, active travel, and improved connectivity, while responding to the site’s industrial heritage and riverside setting.

Hammond Architectural Ltd led the outline planning application, including masterplanning, coordination of technical inputs, and preparation of a robust, policy-compliant submission. The resulting consent establishes a clear framework for delivery, demonstrating our ability to unlock complex brownfield sites and balance regeneration, infrastructure, and deliverability at a strategic scale.

Greystone Meadows | Undy

Client: Bellway Homes

We supported Bellway Homes with a comprehensive package of design and planning services, helping to shape and refine the development of the former Rockfield Farm, from early feasibility through to detailed planning submissions. Our work included sketch layout options, coordinated site planning and the development of house types, elevations and finishes to establish a clear and consistent design approach. We prepared supporting material such as enclosure strategies, conveyance plans, street scenes and management layouts, and worked closely with the wider team through regular design and planning meetings. This collaborative approach ensured smooth progression of the application and the successful discharge of planning conditions.

Bedwellty | Aberbargoed

Client: Llanmoor Homes

Bedwellty Fields and Saint Sannan’s are a two-phase residential development in Aberbargoed. We were appointed to deliver the Reserved Matters design for both phases. Together, the schemes provide a mix of open-market and affordable homes, offering a diverse range of 1–4 bedroom properties in a well-connected setting. Phase 1 has established a strong design foundation, with Phase 2 continuing this approach while integrating enhanced SuDS features. The project was one of Caerphilly’s early schemes fully approved by the SAB, supporting high-quality, sustainable growth in the area.
